译文
阳春白雪般的清新词句出自座席之间，您才华气量二者兼备，令人艳羡。异乡杭州的风景也依旧粲然。
可叹相逢能够欢聚几日？不知重会又将落在何年？届时，我们愿再次面对茱萸仔细把玩。
注释
浣溪沙：词牌名，本唐教坊曲名，又名《浣沙溪》《小庭花》等。双调四十二字，五平韵。
重九：节日名，即重阳。旧韵：指前首《浣溪沙·菊节》词所用韵字。
白雪：意即阳春白雪。本指艺术性较高难度较大的歌曲，这里比喻杨绘（元素）词作的高雅。坐：同“座”。
君：指杨绘，作者友人，杭州知府。才器：才能与器识。
异乡：指杭州，因杨元素与苏轼均为四川人，故称异乡。
茱萸：植物名。有浓烈香气，可入药。古代习俗，夏历九月九日重阳节，佩茱萸囊以去邪避恶。子细：仔细。

浣溪沙·重九旧韵创作背景
苏轼在作此篇前曾作了一首《浣溪沙》，从那首词序中“自杭移密守”及“时重阳前一日”二语，可以确切地了解到，词作于宋神宗熙宁七年九月八日。而从“别杨元素”一语，可知是与杨绘分袂时写下的别情词。因而可以肯定作于同时，即熙宁七年九月，只不过前后相隔一日。

浣溪沙·重九旧韵鉴赏
在送别杨绘的诸多词作中，此篇最大的特点是以直抒胸臆为主。只有首尾两句是个例外。首句从当前聚会的场景落笔，说友人阳春白雪一般的清妙的词作在座席中间就一挥而就了。虽然由于杨氏作品的失传，今天已无法欣赏他的原作，但从苏轼的赞美中仍然可以看出其作品的格调高雅以及其人的才思敏捷。这一笔精要的叙写，从一个侧面写出了友人的才华，为下文作了一个铺垫。接着词人便直抒对友人的爱赏之情：“爱君才器两俱全。”唐人刘肃说过：“士之致远，先器识而后文艺也。”（《大唐新语·知微》）固然强调了“器识”的重要性，却也说明了才识两全的不可多得。而在词人心目中，友人杨绘却是这种才识两全的人才。这除了出于倾慕友人的才华之外，当然也与在党争中志同道合分不开的（见《宋史》杨绘本传）。“异乡”句则意在暗点节令“重九”，“异乡”杭州，说明它与故乡蜀地的节令风光没有什么两样，似乎流露出认他乡为故乡的亲切感，怅惘与慰藉兼而有之。
下片进而抒写离愁别绪。词人满怀优伤地写道：可恨彼此相聚能有几多时光，这一次分手之后，不知到哪一年才能重逢。字里行间充分表露了对相逢短暂、后会难期的怅恨。这两句是词人向友人直接吐露衷肠，有语浅情深之妙。末句“茱萸子细更重看”，暗用杜甫“明年此会知谁健，醉把茱萸仔细看”（《九日蓝田崔氏庄》）的诗意，以对带有节令特征的茱萸“重看”这一细节表达了依恋的情慷，并将“明年此会知谁健”这一层意思寄之于言外，暗含着别后对友人怀念的深情。所以此篇尽管在作者的别情词中略嫌平实，还是有它的可取之处的。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
