拔剑绕残樽，歌终便出门。
勇死寻常事，轻雠不足论。
翻嫌易水上，细碎动离魂。
剑客鉴赏
这首诗的作者热情地塑造出一个襟怀嵚崎磊落，慷慨豪勇，报恩酬知己，不畏死难的剑客形象，借以寄托自己的人格理想。真可谓志陵山岳，气吞江海，撼人心魄。
开头两句凌空起笔，描写饯别的场面和剑客的出门。酒宴将散，剑客的豪兴借酒而发，遂拔剑起舞，慷慨高歌，歌罢出门，扬长而去。“拔剑”二字点出剑客的身分，一个“绕”字，隐写剑客且歌且舞的场面，十分生动传神。我们可以想见，酒酣之际，拔剑起舞，旁观者可以一睹剑客高超的剑术及风采；舞剑作歌，人们又可以从其歌词中了解其超凡脱俗的情怀，在情绪上深受感染；而剑客高歌方罢，不顾而去，态度是那样毅然决然，毫无留恋之态，表现出一副大丈夫的英雄气概，又该是何等令人赞叹。这里，“歌终”的“终”字和“便”字的衔接使用，极见功力。应该说仅此开头二句，剑客英雄豪迈的形象已跃然纸上。三、四句描绘此剑客出门之后，踏上行途的景象。
“西风满天雪”，这是北方冬季的大自然特有的最雄浑壮丽的画图。诗人把剑客放到如此西风狂啸，漫天大雪纷飞的背景衬托之下，有力地烘托出剑客的英雄气质。风雪茫茫，天地浩大，中有一人，持剑独立，瞻视前路..，那该是怎样的形象，如何的气度！更妙的是，作者还要对剑客问上一句“何处报人恩”，意思是说，这样大的风雪，连道路都难以识别，你到哪里去替你的恩人寻仇找敌为他报仇，来报答他对你的知遇之恩呢？表面上这是对剑客的置难之词，却是赞扬他下定决心，不为风雪所阻，不辞艰苦，一定要达到目的的坚定信念。
接下“勇死寻常事，轻仇不足论”二句，正面议论；点出此剑客固然可以为酬知己而勇赴死难；但他也决不是那种气量狭窄，为睚眦之怨而轻生舍命的亡命徒。这里强调了剑客的有胆有识，襟怀开阔，使其思想境界得到了进一步的升华。但这两句的妙处还不仅在于此，它又暗示了此剑客的外出“报人恩”，是一次重大的有意义的行为。
最后，全诗以“翻嫌易水上，细碎动离魂”作结，赞扬此剑客的豪气更在战国时代为燕太子丹去行刺秦王的荆轲之上。荆轲的勇敢事迹见于《史记·刺客列传》，书中描写太子丹及其宾客在易岸送别荆轲的场面，历来脍炙人口：“至易水之上，既祖，取道，高渐离击筑”荆轲和而歌，为变徵之声，士皆垂泪涕泣。
又前而为歌曰：‘风萧萧兮易水寒，壮士一去兮不复还！’复为羽声忼慨，士皆瞋目，发尽上指冠。”而此剑客却嫌荆轲的反复悲歌，感伤别离，感情未免过于细腻缠绵了，可见二人比较，自有高下之分。
齐己是一位僧人，这首诗写得这样豪壮刚猛，肝胆照人，可见他并未完全心归禅寂，超然物外。
