译文
短亭长亭，古今离情。高楼外清冷的月亮被罩上了一圈光晕，雨后的秋天格外凄清。
浮云淡淡，远山茫茫。秋叶落地声伴着孤雁哀鸣，远游的行人不忍听。
注释
山驿（shān yì）：山路上的驿站，指作词之地。
长相思：原为唐教坊曲，后用作词调名。调名取自南朝乐府“上言长相思，下言久离别”句。又名《相思令》、《双红豆》、《吴山青》、《山渐青》、《忆多娇》、《长思仙》、《青山相送迎》等。
短长亭：古代驿道五里设一短亭，十里设一长亭。此代指行旅、行程。
古今情：古今相同的离情。
凉蟾（liáng chán）：秋月。
晕：月晕，月亮四周的光环。
馀（yú）：剩下、遗留。
横：地理上指东西向，此指远山迷茫。
和：应和。

这首词是词人早年所作。当时词人屡试不第，羁旅异乡，几欲灰心，恰逢阴雨，彻夜难眠，雨后登亭，临亭就所望所感而发此作。

长相思·山驿鉴赏
《长相思》为万俟咏写行旅之作，上片点明时序和地点，下片含蓄表达行人的愁思。通篇萧疏冷落，情在言外。这首词全词围绕着词人于秋季雨后登亭的所见所闻，秋季雨后的凄凉孤寂的氛围，烘托出作者的思乡之情。
上片起首两句，写山驿望中所见，兼含旅思。两个短句，从时、空两方面着笔，而想象纵横驰骋，其感情色彩增强而意境加厚。第三句客观写景：“楼外凉蟾一晕生。”这句话写到小楼在月影下独立，月影映衬着小楼，词人将深秋月夜描述犹如画一样。用“蟾”而不用“月”、“兔”字，不仅平仄妥贴，而且因为蟾蜍这种动物喜欢潮湿而体表是冷的，更能表现出“凉”意，“凉”字又暗示了行人触景所生的感情感情。黄蓼园说此句“仍带古今情之意”，可谓善于体会。“晕”是“雨馀”景象，又是风起的征兆，此句近启“雨余秋更清”一句，远兴“几叶秋声”一句。
下片仍是写驿楼上的所见所闻，思乡的客愁表现得更强烈。过片“暮山平”两句，扣住“山驿”的“山”字，描写日暮黄昏时的山中景象。太阳渐渐西沉，暮云合拢。远远望去，群山模糊一片，山中的暝色越来越深了。云空阔而单调，使得整首词读后给人萧瑟之感。大笔地涂抹，景象开阔而沉郁，浓重的暮色有力地烘染着游子的乡愁。“几叶秋声和雁声”，则由视觉而听觉。所见既已如此，所闻更使心惊。风吹叶落，秋声萧瑟，再加上南归大雁的鸣叫，此情此景，真让人难以承受。因而词人不禁呼出“行人不要听”，把深浓的乡思推向高潮。水到渠成，收合自然。

万俟咏是北宋末南宋初词人。字雅言，自号词隐、大梁词隐。籍贯与生卒年均不详。哲宗元佑时已以诗赋见称于时。据王灼《碧鸡漫志》卷2记载：“元佑时诗赋老手”。但屡试不第，于是绝意仕进，纵情歌酒。自号“大梁词隐”。徽宗政和初年，召试补官，授大晟府制撰。绍兴五年(1135)补任下州文学。善工音律，能自度新声。词学柳永，存词27首。
