译文
二月的巴陵，几乎天天都刮风下雨。料峭的春寒还未结束，给园林的花木带来了灾难，叫人担心害怕！
娇嫩的海棠，毫不吝惜鲜红的花朵，挺身独立在寒风冷雨中开放着。
注释
选自《简斋集》。陈与义（1090-1138），号简斋。宋代诗人。此诗写于高宗建炎三年（1129）二月。
巴陵：古郡名，今湖南岳阳市。
园公：诗人自注：“借居小园，遂自号园公。”
胭脂：一种红色颜料。也泛指红色。
春寒鉴赏
这首绝句与其说是写春寒，不如说是咏海棠。说到咏海棠，自然忘不了苏轼的《海棠》诗：“东风袅袅泛崇光，香雾空蒙月转廊。只恐夜深花睡去，故烧高烛照红妆。”其实，这两首海棠诗都是借海棠写自己。苏轼笔下的海棠圣洁、幽寂，是他贬官黄州时的写照；陈与义笔下的海棠雅致孤高，是他流亡时的写照。因此，头两句的“风”“寒”就不仅仅是自然界的风寒，更主要的是社会的风寒——金兵南侵，南宋小朝廷“山河破碎风飘絮”，诗人则“身世浮沉雨打萍”，怎不感到“怯”？后两句诗人用类似于刻划松、梅、菊、竹的手法来写海棠，说它傲然“独立”于风雨中，哪怕有损于自己美丽的“胭脂色”。海棠的风骨和雅致得到充分的表现。诗人点化杜甫的“林花着雨胭脂湿”，别创意境，不但更具风致，而且更具品格。诗人将自己的风骨、品格、雅致融入对海棠的描写中，使这首诗成为咏物上乘之作，这就是咏物诗创作的诀窍。

陈与义(1090-1138)，字去非，号简斋，汉族，其先祖居京兆，自曾祖陈希亮迁居洛阳，故为宋代河南洛阳人（现在属河南）。他生于宋哲宗元祐五年(1090年)，卒于南宋宋高宗绍兴八年(1138年)。北宋末，南宋初年的杰出诗人，同时也工于填词。其词存于今者虽仅十余首，却别具风格，尤近于苏东坡，语意超绝，笔力横空，疏朗明快，自然浑成，著有《简斋集》。
