节令风物不断递换，变化常新；痴心儿女，你们为什么要苦苦地挽留春天？
那五彩缤纷的花朵凋谢又有什么可恨？夏天的树木，浓密葱绿，不也一样使你合意欢心！
注释
晦日：农历每月最后的一天。
节物：各个季节的风物景色。
儿女：这里泛指男女。
芳菲：香花芳草。
何须：何必，何用。
可人：称人心意。
三月晦日偶题鉴赏
文人伤春，似乎是永恒的主题，春风春雨，落花垂柳，引起过多少诗人感叹。三月晦日，是春天的最后一天，更难免激起诗人无计留春住的愁思。唐诗人贾岛有首著名的《三月晦日赠刘评事》诗云：“三月正当三十日，风光别我苦吟身。共君今夜不须睡，未到晓钟犹是春。”表现的就是浓重的惜春情绪。秦观这首绝句，与贾岛诗一样，也是通过议论，表达春将逝去时的感想。但秦诗一反旧例，没有悲伤的情调，却是顺其自然，豁达通变。
诗富有哲理，蕴含“理趣”。“三月晦日”，即暮春三月的最后一天，过了这天，意味着时令进入夏季。春去的伤感，对于情感敏锐的人而言，不言而喻。春去的伤感，对于情感敏锐的人而言，不言而喻。但这首诗，却反其道而行之，写出了新意。“节物相催”，是自然规律，非人力所能为。因为新陈代谢，是自然运行的铁的规律！但那些“痴心儿女”却想“挽留春”，不欲让春归去。这样写足了人们对春将逝去时的怅惘之感。为诗的后两句翻出新意，做了充分的铺垫。后两句，反振一笔，如异峰突起，醒人耳目。繁华似锦（“芳菲”）的春天归去，没有什么值得留恋的。那“阴阴”的“夏木”同样“可人”，诗人的乐观、豪放、豁达，跃然纸上！
诗是说理，指出了对春天的逝去的两种不同看法，强调应该顺其自然。推而广之，诗人也是在阐述自己的处世观：人生是处在不断地转换之中，好的可以变坏，祸福相倚。因此，当你失去了什么时，不要过分抱憾，要正视现实，知足常乐。春天有春天令人留恋的地方，夏天也有夏天使人合意的所在；顺境有顺境的快乐，逆境何尝不可磨炼人，使人步入顺境。通过这诗，我们充分理解到诗人宽广的胸怀，并从中得到勉励。宋人的说理诗，虽然常常有陈腐惹人生厌的地方，但也不乏像这首诗一样有积极意义的作品。

秦观（1049-1100）字太虚，又字少游，别号邗沟居士，世称淮海先生。汉族，北宋高邮（今江苏）人，官至太学博士，国史馆编修。秦观一 生坎坷，所写诗词，高古沉重，寄托身世，感人至深。秦观生前行踪所至之处，多有遗迹。如浙江杭州的秦少游祠，丽水的秦少游塑像、淮海先生祠、莺花亭；青田的秦学士祠；湖南郴州三绝碑；广西横县的海棠亭、醉乡亭、淮海堂、淮海书院等。秦观墓在无锡惠山之北粲山上，墓碑上书“秦龙图墓”几个大字。有秦家村、秦家大院以及省级文物保护单位古文游台。
