译文
哪一家盖起了豪华的宅第？红漆的大门开在大道旁边。
高大的房屋梳齿般排列，高高的围墙在外面曲折回环。
六七处堂屋一座挨着一座，梁栋和屋檐相互联接伸延。
造一座这样的堂屋费钱上百万，那郁郁勃勃的气象上凌云烟。
幽深的内室冬暖夏凉，即使严寒酷暑也不能侵犯。
高大的堂屋宽敞亮爽，坐着、躺着，都可望到南山。
环绕走廊的是紫藤的藤架，台阶两旁有红芍药的花栏。
攀下树枝来采摘樱桃，带着花去移栽牡丹。
主人在这所华屋中安坐，一连十几年都做着大官。
厨房里有出不完的腐败肉，库房里有用不尽而绳串朽坏的钱。
啊，哪一个能传达我的意见，问一个问题，在你们一家人中间：
难道社会上没有贫穷卑贱的人？怎么能忍心不去救济饥寒。
为什么只图供养自己，就想保得住富贵千年？
你可曾见到昔日马家的住宅，如今已成为废弃的奉诚园！
注释
甲第：古代皇帝赐给臣子的住宅有甲乙等级之分，甲第是赐给封侯者住的。
栉比：像疏齿一样排列，多而密。
累累：一个接一个的样子。
郁郁：繁盛的样子。
洞房：深邃的内室。
虚且迥：空旷而且深远，宽敞高爽之意。
红药：即芍药花。
贯朽钱：钱积得很多，长期不用，以致串钱的绳子霉烂，故称贯朽钱。
将：传达的意思。
直：就。
奉诚园：原为唐司徒马燧旧宅，以豪奢著名。

白居易（772年－846年），字乐天，号香山居士，又号醉吟先生，祖籍太原，到其曾祖父时迁居下邽，生于河南新郑。是唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，唐代三大诗人之一。白居易与元稹共同倡导新乐府运动，世称“元白”，与刘禹锡并称“刘白”。白居易的诗歌题材广泛，形式多样，语言平易通俗，有“诗魔”和“诗王”之称。官至翰林学士、左赞善大夫。公元846年，白居易在洛阳逝世，葬于香山。有《白氏长庆集》传世，代表诗作有《长恨歌》、《卖炭翁》、《琵琶行》等。
