译文
晨曦微露，催响了凄凉的号角声。仔细聆听，林中栖息的鸟儿尚在安睡，未被惊醒，但邻舍的雄鸡已经先自啼鸣，喔喔报晓。连绵相接的村落烟雾朦胧，征马在晨雾中嘶鸣，旅人们早已匆匆上路，此时，尚有一轮残月将余辉洒落在稀疏的树林里。我感伤的泪痕处已结上了一层微微的白霜；体内残存的酒力渐渐变得薄弱，难以抵挡清晨刺骨的寒气。可叹我这倦游的客子，再也不愿重新沾染京师的风尘，当年在京城的情景至今让我如惊弓之鸟，心存余悸。
追想与妻子分别以来，心头总是思念重重，千头万绪，却又难以寻觅到一只离群的孤鸿将音讯为我传送。家中的娇妻独自坐在翠绿色的深深的帘纬中，曲折的画屏里飘逸着暖融融的麝香，她又怎会想到在这岁暮时节，我正在异地他乡飘泊。怨月儿圆明，恨花儿开放，因为这只能使我徒增烦恼，我不是未曾经历过这样的苦楚，我只是想让这种烦恼情味随着时间的推移能稍稍减少一点，谁知近来这段日子却让我更感到惶恐不安。
注释
喜迁莺：词调名，始见于由唐入蜀的韦庄词，为双片小令，四十七字，又名《鹤冲天》、《万年枝》、《喜迁莺令》、《燕归梁》。北宋蔡挺衍为长调一百零二字。
角：号角声。
迤逦（yǐ lǐ）：形容曲折连绵貌。
嘶（sī）：马的嘶叫声。
林薄：草木丛杂的地方。屈原《九章·涉江》：“露申辛夷，死林薄兮。”注：“丛木曰林，草木交错曰薄。”
叹倦客：长期在外疲倦厌烦的客子。
悄不禁：犹浑不禁，全未料到。 悄，宋人口语，犹浑、直，简直的意思。
风尘京洛：陆机《为顾彦先赠妇》诗：“京洛多风尘，素衣化为缁。”后人多借此比喻世俗的污垢。京洛，东周、东汉等朝代京都在洛阳，因称京都为“京洛”。这里借指北宋首都汴京。
人：指妻子。
孤鸿：失群的孤雁。喻捎信人。
翠幌（huǎng）：绿色帘幕。 幌，布幔，此处泛指帷幔。娇：情爱。
曲屏：由若干扇组成、可随意折放的屏风。
者情味：这种情味。者，犹“这”。
一成：宋时口语，犹渐渐”，指一段时间的推移。苏轼《洞仙歌·咏柳》：“断肠是飞絮时，绿叶成阴，无个事，一成消瘦。”

喜迁莺·晓行创作背景
词题“晓行”，可知写拂晓从驿舍上路时的所见所闻所感。词人在宋徽宗宣和三年（1121）42岁时考上进士，未得一官；直到高宗绍兴初年才担任校书郎的官职，这时他已经年过半百了。词中写到“重染风尘京洛”，可见他这次晓行，重去京都，时间是在宋室南渡之前。

喜迁莺·晓行鉴赏
这首词上片写景，下片怀人，而景中有人，人前有景，情景历历，互相交融，重点突出了倦客怀人、思念妻子的主题。
上片描写“晓行”所见所闻所感的情景。头三句说，角声催促清晓，曙光开始到来；因为天未大亮，听那睡鸟还没有被惊醒，邻村邻户的雄鸡先已觉醒起来，啼鸣声声，报告天明的消息。这是凌晨在驿站客舍所听到的情景，点明题中的一个“晓”字。“迤逦”以下三句写的是词人已经上路，看到连续不断的村庄袅袅地飘着晨雾；马在嘶鸣，行人已经起来；透过丛丛树林，还可以看到一弯残月挂在天边。这是晓行的见闻，还是描写晨景，进一步点明时间，晨烟未散，马嘶人起，残月在天，可见是在阴历下旬的清晨。“泪痕”二句说，晨起在客店流过眼泪，擦干了又流淌，上路后被寒霜微微凝结；出门前为御寒而喝了一些酒，但是酒所给人的热力还不够抵抗天气的寒冷。这是写晓行的感触和感受，“泪痕”与“霜”“寒”等用字，使人感觉到天气是寒冷的，词人的心情是悲伤的。“叹倦客”，这是词人的感叹，他此时人到中年，四五十岁了，长期离乡背井，在外作客奔波，已经感到疲倦。他的《洞仙歌》词，写他天涯作客，路远音稀，“叹客里经春又三年”，如果注意到这里的一个“又”字，就可判断他的羁旅生活，至少经历了六年以上。“重染风尘京洛”，说再次去京都，染上污浊的风尘。以上三句，写词人离家别妻，岁寒飘泊，实非出于心愿，故前文有“泪痕”之句。此三句结束上片写晓行之景，过渡到下片抒情，诉说词人对妻子的怀念。
下片以“追念”起头，承上启下，追溯思念之情。首先想到的是，词人同妻子分别后，有千般眷恋，万般相思，种种恩爱缠绵之情，却难找到一只鸿雁传书，来通报音讯。他写的《洞仙歌》还有“负伊多少”这样的话，表示对妻子的歉意。接着想到温馨的家庭生活，并用“争念”作纽带，同“岁寒飘泊”的羁旅生活作了对比。然后，词人又写因同爱妻分别，不得团聚而怨月恨花，且此种烦恼，“不是不曾经著”，可见他为生活而离家别妻，已经是屡次三番的了。最后，他写夫妻别离的“情味”，无论是孤苦思念，抑或是想望心切，原希望渐渐消减、淡化下来，却不料新近的心情更加不好了。这“新来还恶”的结句，把离家别妻的苦恼延伸发展，把国事（时局）、家事（离别）、个人的事（前程）以及所有不顺心、不惬意的事情都包容在一起了。整个下片从怀人而带出的思潮起伏，的确是作者“心事万重”的具体刻画。写心理活动细致入微，层次分明，感情真挚。
此词上片写晓行景色，下片写怀人，乍看起来似乎连系不紧。但细读全篇，就可知道下片的怀人是由上片晓行引起的，没有晓行的感触，就不致产生下片怀人的思绪。所以上片是因，下片是果，两者结合得非常紧密。这是首写景抒情兼胜的作品，陈振孙说刘一止的这首词“盛传于京师，号‘刘晓行’”。可见当时人对这首词的赞赏。
