译文
我们分手离别时正是柳絮满空，如雪的柳花纷纷扬扬洒落窗前。转眼之间初开的葵花像锦绣般鲜美，旁边一朵艳丽的红花倚靠栏边。
离别后世事焕然一新，只有我们俩还像从前。说到仕途失意怀才不遇之时，忽然凉风索索令人凄寒。
注释
好事近：词牌名，又名《钓船笛》等，双调四十五字，上下片各四句两仄韵。
史蘧（qú）庵：史可程，字蘧庵，史可法之弟。当时流寓宜兴，与作者交往唱和甚多。
吴阊（chāng）：即苏州。苏州为春秋时吴国都会，有阊门，故称。
柳花天：即暮春，杨柳飞花时节。
雪：指柳絮，中国古代诗词中柳是作为惜别送行的象征物。晋时才女谢道韫咏雪，有“未若柳絮因风起”之句，此处是反用。
葵肌：指葵花。
红欹（qī）栏角：指栏角的花开得正盛。
吾徒：我辈，我们。
失路：此处比喻不得志
索索：风声。

好事近·分手柳花天创作背景
这首词是陈维崧酬答史蘧庵的和词。康熙五年（1666年）丙午，作者从苏州归家后，应史可程之邀，与之相聚，二人交谈甚欢，有感于英雄失路，写下了这首悲怆的词作。

好事近·分手柳花天鉴赏
上片描写春至夏的自然景象。开头“分手柳花天”两句，追记作者和史蘧庵分别时的情景，起两句不是单纯看作描写春日穹怎飞舞的自然风光，而是借咏柳花以抒离别之情。“转眼葵肌初绣”两句，画面由春日的风光变换成夏天的景象，“葵肌初绣”形容初开的向日葵花，犹如绣成的一朵美丽的鲜花，词人从分别到归来，转眼之间，不觉过了一个季节，春光已消逝，夏日早降临，一株株向日葵绽开了花朵，而庭院栏干转角处的红花正在盛开。上片侧疏于写景，但作者所要表达的真实感情没有透露，这就构成下片抒情的重点。
下片抒发怀才不遇的无限感慨，话音一转，即由时间的流动写到时事的变迁。换头“别来世事一番新，只吾徒犹昨”两句抒情，“吾徒犹昨”是指作者与史可程辈依然如故，他们两人都经历了翻天覆地的社会大变动，有着共同的侘傺身世遭遇，尤其是陈维崧入清后，长期不得志，饥驱四方，备尝颠沛流离之苦，他曾在《贺新郎》词中感叹：“自古道，才人无命。”所以这里的“只吾徙犹昨”一句蕴含着怀才不遇的高级牢骚，不过措词宛转，没有直率地表达出来。
结尾“话到”两句，纵笔抒怀，而在景中寓情，感慨不尽。英雄失路，反映了作者长期不入仕宦的压抑心态，他曾在《贺新郎》词中写过“话到英雄方失志”的句子，可见这种不得进身的悲愤已积淀在他的心灵深处，并非一时信口的牢骚。末二句以煨结情，合思深沉，从平叙中显示出一股内在的感人的力量。

陈维崧(1625～1682)清代词人、骈文作家。字其年，号迦陵。宜兴（今属江苏）人。清初诸生，康熙十八年(1679)举博学鸿词，授翰林院检讨。54岁时参与修纂《明史》，4年后卒于任所。
