译文
新婚夫妇，夫君就像是女萝草，妻妾就如菟丝花。
女子有了心上人，就好像轻柔的枝条，只有在春风里才会摇曳生姿。
新婚以后，妻妾希望依附夫君，让彼此关系缠绵缱倦、永结同心。
谁说见一面很容易，我们各自在青色山崖的两边。
君在外春风得意、如鱼得水，而妻妾却在家里忧心匆匆、痛断肝肠。
妻妾在家除了相夫教子外，别无旁务，因而想入非非。
我的归宿在哪里？夫君该不会在外面与别的女子“共芬芳”、做“鸳鸯”吧？
夫君啊！假如为妾的有二心的话，那么海水也可以用斗来量了。
注释
女萝：一种靠依附他物生长的地衣类植物。古人常以此比喻新婚夫妇。
菟丝：一种利用爬藤状构造攀附在其他植物上的寄生植物。古人常以此比喻新婚夫妇。
引：避开，退却。
托：寄托，依靠。
竞：争逐，比赛。
上宿：指睡觉。

盛唐时期，李白由于得不到皇上和高官的赏识，空叹才华无处施展；而妇女不得宠，日日独守空闺，二者内心皆是孤苦寂寞的，,相似之处颇多，所以李白借怨妇来表达自己的失意情怀。

古意鉴赏
这是一首怨妇诗。李太白乃浪漫主义豪放派诗人。很多作品均狂放不羁，如“飞流直下三千尺”、“黄河之水天上来”等等。细腻的描写风花雪月、儿女情长的作品不是太多。
“君为女萝草，妾作冤丝花”。古人常以“菟丝”、“女萝”比喻新婚夫妇，优美贴切，因而传诵千古。冤丝花为曼生植物，柔弱，茎细长略带黄色，常常缠绕在其他植物之上；女萝草为地衣类植物，有很多细枝。诗人以“菟丝花”比作妻妾，又以「女萝草」比喻夫君，意谓新婚以后，妻妾希望依附夫君，让彼此关系缠绵缱倦、永结同心。即所谓“百丈托远松，缠绵成一家”。
“女萝发馨香，菟丝断人肠。枝枝相纠结，叶叶竞飘扬”。大意可能是说，夫君在外春风得意、如鱼得水，而妻妾却在家里忧心匆匆、痛断肝肠。
“生子不知根，因谁共芬芳。中巢双翡翠，上宿紫鸳鸯”。我只想用一个字来理解——怨。过去，男主外、女主内。妻妾在家除了相夫教子外，别无旁务，因而想入非非。我的归宿在哪里？夫君该不会在外面与别的女子“共芬芳”、做“鸳鸯”吧？
“若识二草心，海潮亦可量”。妻妾向夫君表明态度：夫君啊！假如为妾的有二心的话，那么海水也可以用斗来量了。大约相当于今天的“海枯石烂不变心”吧！

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
