蚕妇吟译文及注释
译文
杜鹃鸟于四更时分啼彻窗外，唤醒养蚕妇人起身关照蚕宝宝们，担心着这几天桑叶不够影响了蚕宝宝吐丝结茧。
歌舞楼台之声竟远远传来，难道深夜了高楼欢宴的歌女们还没有归来入睡？
注释
吟：诗体的名称。
子规：杜鹃鸟的别称。
稠（chóu）：多而密。
玉人：指歌女舞女。
蚕妇吟鉴赏
这首诗描写了“蚕妇”和“玉人”两种截然不同的生活。借富贵人家的女人歌舞彻夜不归，来反衬蚕妇生活之辛苦。杜鹃啼叫到还只是四更天的时候，蚕妇不得不起来察视养的蚕是否吃的桑叶稀少了，以免影响到蚕茧的产量。蚕妇日以继夜辛苦地劳作，对她来说，那些“玉人”夜深达旦地歌舞供贵人娱乐，直到楼头明月已经西沉，挂在柳梢枝头的时候还没有回来，简直是不可思议的。
这首诗用以表达蚕妇之辛苦，将玉人和蚕妇置于同一时间内，因身份不同而苦乐不均的情况。但评论亦认为和歌女对比起不到辛辣讽刺之效果，玉人歌舞并非自己纵情享乐，亦为身不由己。
同样写蚕妇，北宋张俞的写法更为一针见血：昨日入城市，归来泪满巾。遍身罗绮者，不是养蚕人。此诗矛头堪称“稳、准、狠”，直接对准不劳而获之人，因而也流传更广。
