译文
老友栖身嵩山，只因爱这山川之美。
大好的春光，却空林独卧，白日高照也不起。
松风徐吹，似清除襟袖中的俗气；石潭水清，清洗心里耳中的尘世污垢。
羡慕你啊，无忧无虑，静心高卧云霞里。
注释
东山：东晋谢安隐居的地方，这里借指元丹丘山居。
洗心耳：洗心，《易·系辞》：圣人以此洗心，退藏于密。洗耳，据《高士传》记载，尧要让天下给许由，许由不答应，跑到嵩山隐居起来；尧找到他，又要让他做九州长，许由不愿意听，就在颖水里洗耳朵，表示尧的话污了自己的耳朵。

题元丹丘山居创作背景
元丹丘是个道士，他在嵩山脚下、颍水岸上建了几间房子，这就是颍阳山居。他是李白的好朋友，李白到了这里，看到他住的地方北依马岭，连峰嵩丘，南瞻鹿台，北极汝海，云岩掩映，颇有佳致，心里非常喜欢，就接连写了好几首诗送给元丹丘。这首诗就是其中之一。

题元丹丘山居鉴赏
这首诗的头两句，先用东山表明故人隐居的事实和山居对他的意义，再写山壑之美和故人的喜好。这样交代一句，下面就不再写景了。
中间四句刻画故人的形象，还在年富力强的时候，故人就高卧山林，太阳老高了，还不起床，这是一个疏懒的人的形象。古人所谓的高士就是这样的，他们鄙弃功名利禄，追求闲云野鹤般的人生境界。“松风清襟袖，石潭洗心耳”两句运用古典故事来刻画这个形象的精神风貌，将故人比作古代隐士高人，意境深远；松涛阵阵，伫立在风中的听者心有会意；石潭清清，住在它旁边的观者心耳早已清净。其人格之高洁，尽在不言之中。前两句是画肉，这两句是画骨，这样，诗人笔下的形象不但有形态，而且有精神，于是就具有了人格魅力，具有了诗人仰慕的人格魅力。其实，这也是诗人是在刻画他心目中的理想的形象，追求功成身退，隐居山林的生活。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
