译文
细雨蒙蒙打湿了楝花，在南风的吹拂下，每棵枇杷树的果实都慢慢变熟了。
顺着山路慢慢地走着，竟不知路途远近。沿路的黄莺鸣叫着把我送到了家。
注释
天平山：在江苏省苏州市西，山顶正平，称望湖台，山上有白云泉、白云寺、万笏林等名胜，杨基家在赤山，离天平山很近。
茸茸（róng）：小雨又细又密又柔和的感觉。
楝（liàn）：江南一带常见的落叶乔木，春天开淡紫色花。
枇（pí）杷（pá）：树的名称。果实黄色圆形，味甜，春夏之间成熟。
徐行：慢慢地走。
山深浅：山路的远近。

天平山中创作背景
天平山是吴中名胜之一，林木秀润，奇石纵横，诗人自幼生活在这里，山中的一木一石，对他来说，都十分熟悉，十分亲切。元末，为避乱世，诗人曾隐居于故乡，这首诗便是诗人隐居时漫步山中，有感而作。

天平山中鉴赏
诗的前半段宛如一副工笔画，在绵绵春雨中，楝树开出了淡紫色的花朵，由于沾上了雨珠，显得格外娇艳和滋润。南风轻轻吹拂，在郁郁葱葱的草木丛里，不时露出一树树金黄色的枇杷。这两句对得很工，“细雨”对“南风”，“楝花”对“枇杷”，从气候与植物两方面刻画出了江南三月所特有的景观，而句中的修饰语“茸茸”和“树树”以及“湿”和“热”则进一步描摹了春色的旖旎。诗人的着眼点在景，但同时也衬出了情，从他蘸满色彩的笔触中，可以清楚地感受到洋溢在他心中的盎然春意。
下半段由景及人，画面也渐渐活动起来，“徐行不记山深浅，一路莺啼送到家”，诗人沿着山路徐徐而行，不知道自己走了多远，只听得满耳莺啼，不知不觉中却已回到了家门口。这里，诗人有意识地虚化了距离感和时间感，形成一种物我两忘的意境。于是，在前半段里所隐隐流露出来的那种悠然自得的闲适心情，在这一段里便跃然纸上了。这两句着眼于人的感觉，但并没有离开景色描写这一主线，“一路莺啼”与上文中的“茸茸”、“树树”相辉映，不仅有色，而且有声，把天平山的春天写得充满野趣，十分热闹。同时，诗人在漫游时忘了路程，忘了时间，这又从另一个侧面衬托出了景色之美。
茸茸细雨，微微南风，舒远惬意，这是从触觉角度写；一支支楝花，一树树枇杷，明艳夺目，这是从视觉角度描写；一路上黄莺儿唱着婉转的歌，轻快悦耳，这是从听觉角度描写。多角度描写组成一幅美妙的山行图。

杨基（1326～1378）元末明初诗人。字孟载，号眉庵。原籍嘉州（今四川乐山），大父仕江左，遂家吴中（今浙江湖州），“吴中四杰”之一。元末，曾入张士诚幕府，为丞相府记室，后辞去。明初为荥阳知县，累官至山西按察使，后被谗夺官，罚服劳役。死于工所。杨基诗风清俊纤巧，其中五言律诗《岳阳楼》境界开阔，时人称杨基为“五言射雕手”。少时曾著《论鉴》十万余言。又于杨维桢席上赋《铁笛》诗，当时维桢已成名流，对杨基倍加称赏：“吾意诗境荒矣，今当让子一头地。”杨基与高启、张羽、徐贲为诗友，时人称为“吴中四杰”。
