译文
村外的层层麻叶因雨的滋润而泛着光泽，村内处处飘散着煮茧的清香。不时听到篱笆边传来缫丝女子悦耳的谈笑声。
须发将白的老翁拄着藜杖，老眼迷离似醉，捋下新麦捣成粉末用来果腹。我关切地询问老翁：豆类作物何时能成熟？
注释
檾（qǐng）：同“苘”，俗称青麻。
络丝娘：本为虫名，此处代指缫丝的妇女。
垂白：鬓发将白的老人；杖藜：倚仗藜茎制成的手杖；藜，植物名，此处指以藜茎制成的手杖。
捋青：从未全熟的麦穗上捋下麦粒。麨（chǎo）：用麦子制成的干粮；软：饱之意。

浣溪沙·麻叶层层檾叶光鉴赏
这首诗从侧面反映初夏时节农村的生活情趣：煮蚕香、络丝娘娇语、白发老翁捋新麦等。
“麻叶层层檾叶光”，麻叶一层一层地密密麻麻地铺着，而且一层一层的麻叶都泛着光泽，麻叶、檾叶互文见义，层层二字可见麻叶的繁茂，光字又写出了檾叶的光滑滋润，此处虽然未写明曾降下甘霖，但由层层聚集且泛出光亮的麻叶，读者就可以知道这都是由于求雨之后甘霖如约而至的功效，暗含了谢雨之意。谁家煮茧一村香？词人一进入村庄，便闻到弥漫着的煮茧香味，禁不住好奇地问询一声：此时是谁家正在煮茧？行文更显变化摇曳之美，毫无板滞之感。“一村香”三字写尽了香气浓郁、芳香四溢之感。隔篱娇语络丝娘，循着香气望去，便听见缫丝的妇女在隔着篱笆娇语交谈、轻声欢笑，场景逼真，富有情趣。把缫丝女比喻成声音动听的络丝娘，更见其声音的娇软美妙。
“垂白杖藜抬醉眼，捋青捣麨软饥肠”，词人看见一位老翁须发垂白，手扶藜杖，抬着那迷离朦胧的双眼，从未全熟的麦穗上捋下麦粒，希望能够捣碎之后做成干粮充饥。垂白、杖藜、醉眼三个词从不同的方面刻画出老翁的年迈老态，而如此年老可怜的老人还得捋青捣麨可见这一场过去了的春旱曾给百姓造成的灾难之重。“问言豆叶几时黄？”词人见后，忍不住地上前关切地问道：叶黄豆熟之时还要多久呢？便也就是说：甘霖之后的新一轮的丰收还要多长时间呢？这是在替老翁的一份期待，也是对老翁的一种安慰。关切之心、爱民之意跃然纸上。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
