译文
棠梨花儿开了，社酒已酿得浓浓，四面的村子里，到处是鼓声冬冬。
只求麦子熟了，能吃上几顿饱饭，又怎敢议论，说谷价贱了会伤我田农！
如今酷吏曹泳被放逐到万里外的崖州去了，可湖南张浚什么时候才能被再度起用？
只愿有众多的忠臣贤士云集在朝廷，我这书生便是穷困而死，也胜过侯王升封！
注释
棠梨：蔷薇科，落叶乔木，春天开花，白色。社：此指社日，古代祭拜社神（土地神）的节日，分春秋两社。
敢说：岂敢说。谷贱伤农：指丰年米多，商人压低米价，农民们因此受到损失。
崖州：宋代辖境相当今广东崖县等地，治所在宁远（今崖县崖城镇）。窜：放逐。酷吏：指秦桧死党酷吏曹泳，绍兴二十五年（1155）十月，曹泳被免除户部侍即代理尚书兼知临安府的官职，贬逐到新州（今广东省新兴一带），二十六年正月，命移崖州编管。
湖南：宋代荆湖南路的简称，今属湖南。卧龙：本指三国时蜀相诸葛亮，这里借指宋杭金名将张浚。张浚因为主张杭战，屡遭秦桧排挤，绍兴二十五年十二月，秦桧已死，张浚仍被贬在湖南的郴州。
廊庙：庙堂，指朝廷。
书生：陆游自指。侯封：封侯。

二月二十四日作创作背景
这首诗于宋高宗绍兴二十六年（1156）春写于山阴家中，陆游时年三十二岁。陆游早年曾被秦桧所黜落，困居山阴。这首诗写在秦桧死后四个多月。此年春社日作者有感而作此诗。

二月二十四日作鉴赏
这首诗和同期所写的《夜读兵书》等诗一样表现了诗人忧国忧民的情怀。
开头两句生动地描写春社日农村的热闹景象。三四句突然转折，写农民只不过暂且祈求麦熟能吃饱饭，不能再说谷践伤农。这样写，含意深刻，表达了诗人对农民的深厚同情。接着，由此联想到该窜逐那些残害百姓的贪官污吏，同时希望朝廷尽快起用抗战志士张浚，使天下贤才能云集朝廷，让有才能的贤人来治理国家。结尾两句进一步表明诗人的强烈愿望：只要天下贤人都能云集朝廷，国家中兴有日，即使自己穷死山村亦胜于封侯。充分表现了诗人不计一己之穷通崇高的精神境界。
诗人用“棠梨花开”起兴，塑造了一幅春枕日的美好景像，继而又用“杜酒浓”，“鼓冬冬”作更细致的描绘，反映容社日的欢乐、热闹。这种从视觉、嗅觉、听觉三个角度来表现的方法，是古代诗人常用的艺术手法。

陆游（1125—1210），字务观，号放翁。汉族，越州山阴（今浙江绍兴）人，南宋著名诗人。少时受家庭爱国思想熏陶，高宗时应礼部试，为秦桧所黜。孝宗时赐进士出身。中年入蜀，投身军旅生活，官至宝章阁待制。晚年退居家乡。创作诗歌今存九千多首，内容极为丰富。著有《剑南诗稿》、《渭南文集》、《南唐书》、《老学庵笔记》等。
