译文
寻阳江上大风吹动巨浪，灌婴井中亦水翻如涛。
扬帆启航驰在天一般大的如镜湖面，直向彭蠡湖东面而去。
落日景色中忽然下起疏落小雨，待天放晴云朵散向远空。
名山佳景引发人们佳美的情兴，清观幽赏怎能有所穷尽？
巨大的石镜之上又有明月高挂，香炉峰上彩虹明灭。
相思之时您我共对庐山美景，抬眼望去您我所见美景相同。
注释
寻阳城：即浔阳城，今江西省九江市。寻阳：即浔用，原为湓城县(又叫湓口城)，唐武德四年改为浔阳县，治所在现今江西九江。彭蠡：蠡读lǐ，彭蠡湖，这里指鄱阳湖。黄判官：李白的友人，名字、生平不详，判官为观察使、节度使的僚属。
灌婴井：据《元和郡县志》载，公元前201年（汉高祖六年），灌婴（汉初大臣）主持筑建湓（pén）口城（一名湓城，故址在今江西九江市，因地处湓水入长江口得名）。建安（东汉献帝年号，196～220）年间，孙权经过这里，亲自立标令人打井，正好打出了灌婴筑城时古井，于是在井旁竖立铭记为“颖阴侯（灌婴封爵）井”。传说井水很深，和长江相通，长江中有风浪，井水即动荡不止。
天镜：指鄱阳湖的湖面。形容湖水明净，涵映天空，犹如巨大的镜子。
彭湖：即彭蠡湖。
景，同“影”。落景，即将坠落的夕阳。疏雨，稀疏的小雨。
名山：指庐山。
清赏：清新，赏心悦目。
石镜：据《水经注》载，庐山东面悬崖上有一块大圆石，光滑如镜，可见人影。
香炉：即庐山香炉峰，在庐山西北部。灭：消失。彩虹：香炉峰周围多瀑布，水气经日光照射而形成彩虹。这两句用远月悬空、彩虹消失，形容夜幕降临。
君：指黄判官。

下寻阳城泛彭蠡寄黄判官创作背景
此诗为公元760年（唐肃宗上元元年）李白六十岁时下寻阳泛舟鄱阳湖寄友人黄判官之作。李白流放夜朗遇赦后，自江夏来到寻阳城（即浔阳，今江西九江）的彭蠡湖（即鄱阳湖），作此诗寄给友人黄判官。

下寻阳城泛彭蠡寄黄判官鉴赏
此诗描写了诗人舟行江中顺流而下远望天门山的情景：前两句用铺叙的方法，描写天门山的雄奇壮观和江水浩荡奔流的气势；后两句描绘出从两岸青山夹缝中望过去的远景。全诗通过对天门山景象的描述，赞美了大自然的神奇壮丽，表达了作者初出巴蜀时乐观豪迈的感情。
借用铺叙的方法，描写鄱阳湖的水翻如涛、江水浩荡奔流的气势；诗中描写了鄱阳湖和庐山的雄奇壮丽景象，境界开阔，想象丰富。
以形象的比喻写开船进入明亮如镜、水天一色的鄱阳湖的情景，尤为生动。所以南宋爱国诗人陆游在《过小孤山大孤山》中说：“泛彭蠡口，四望无际，乃知太白‘开帆入天镜’之句为妙。”此诗篇末在畅叙游兴之中流露了对友人的思念之情，言简而意深。
借用远月悬空、彩虹消失的景象，暗寓诗人佳兴勃发，清赏无穷，夜幕不知不觉般如期降临。
运用情景交融的手法，思忆远方的友人，想像力超凡脱俗，宛如友人也正举目思忆诗人，在语段中起画龙点睛的作用，照应了题目，有升华主题深化主旨的作用。
全诗十二句，可分三段。第一段是前四句，写自己在风浪中开帆入湖，气势豪迈。第二段为中间六句，写湖上风光。本来落霞照湖面，水天共影，十分好看；忽而又下起了雨，不久又云散虹出，罩在庐山顶上，景象更为壮观。诗人佳兴勃发，清赏无穷，不觉月上中天，彩虹早已消失了。诗人情随景迁，写得错落有致。最后两句是第三段，清赏之余，不禁想起好友。如此良宵，友人也正举目思念诗人。正是如此，照应了题目，又留下了余味。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
