玉颜随年变，丈夫多好新。
昔为形与影，今为胡与秦。
胡秦时相见，一绝逾参辰。
豫章行苦相篇译文及注释
译文
苦相身为女子，地位十分卑微。而男子刚出生就被重视，父母就希望他能立下大志，建功立业，光耀门楣。苦相身为女子生来就不被家里珍视。长大以后，她只能居于深院，大门不出，二门不迈。一旦来了客人，就得躲藏起来，羞于见人。到了出嫁的年纪，她含着眼泪远嫁异地。出嫁后，她就像雨滴从云层落下，从此便成了别家的人。在婆家她总是低着头，表现得很和顺，也不敢随便说话。对公婆、丈夫等的跪拜没有数，对婢妾也要如同庄严的客人那样敬重。幸好她与丈夫情投意合，只是二人如天上的牛郎织女星，不能常常相聚。而且女子之于丈夫，也只是如葵藿仰望阳光那样，尊卑悬绝，永远和丈夫处于不平等的地位。男子一旦变了心，就把各种的罪名都强加到女子的身上。随着女子容颜老去，丈夫对她的情意也已不再有，又有了新欢。往昔她与丈夫，像形和影一样不能分离，如今彼此却如胡与秦，相隔万里。即使胡秦之地的人，时而也有相见的时候，但她与丈夫却如天上的参星和辰星，永不相见。
注释
①苦相：作者虚拟的人名，借此表示妇女的苦难。
②卑陋：指身份、地位卑贱。
③“男儿”两句：写男子出生时就被重视，父母希望他建功立业，存有大志。
④垂泪适他乡：这里指女子眼含泪水远嫁他乡。适，到。
⑤素齿：牙齿藏在唇内，不敢启齿。这里形容女子出嫁后不敢随便说话。
⑥云汉：银河。这里借喻天上的牛郎、织女星。
⑦心乖：指男子变了心。
⑧胡与秦：胡，北方少数民族。秦，指汉族。胡与秦地域、种族不同。
⑨参辰：指天上的参星和辰星。两颗星星一颗升起时，另一颗就降落，不能同时见于天空。这里比喻二人不相见。
