刘敏中(1243～1318) 元代文学家，字端甫，山东省济南市章丘市人。自幼卓异不凡,曾任中书掾、兵部主事、监察御史等职,因弹劾秉政的桑哥，辞职归乡。后又入为御史、御史都事、翰林直学士，兼国子祭洒、翰林学士承旨等，还曾宣抚辽东山北,拜河南行省参政等。刘敏中一生为官清正,以时事为忧。敢于对贵□横暴绳之以法，并上疏指陈时弊。仕世祖、成宗、武宗三朝，多为监察官，受到皇帝的嘉纳。
