泉州同安人，字吉甫。早年有志朱子之学，亲炙于吕大圭、洪天锡之门。杜门励学，不求人知。宋亡，居海屿中，因自号钓矶翁。元世祖闻其名，遣御史奉币征聘，不出，赋诗见志。年八十余卒。有《易解义》、《书解义》、《诗解义》、《春秋解义》、《周礼补亡》及诗集。
