宋邛州蒲江人，字不妄。高稼子。理宗绍定二年进士。李心传修四朝史，辟为史馆校阅，分修光、宁二帝纪。因言事，忤宰相史嵩之，出为外官。淳祐六年复以论史嵩之事被排出外。历福建路计度转运副使，为宰相丁大全之党诬劾，夺职降官，大全罢，事始得白。恭帝德祐元年累官至参知政事，为宰相留梦炎乘间罢去。有《诗肤说》、《耻堂文集》等。
