贾宝玉与秦可卿的弟弟秦钟去贾家学房里念书，与薛蟠、金荣等发生了矛盾，贾瑞要求金荣向秦钟道歉。金荣的母亲觉得不公平就去贾珍府里找尤氏说理。尤氏说秦可卿恨那帮狐朋狗友搬弄是非，已经气得生病了，金荣的母亲自觉没趣就回去了。
