大功告成的典故

西汉末年，外戚安汉公王莽专权，他模仿周公建造明堂，设立雍灵台，集中天下学者讲学和著作，先后网络了几千人为之著书立说，为他歌功颂德。他下令10万多人为他写颂诗，花了20天时间才大功告成。他的野心越来越大，后来干脆自己称帝。
