笨鸟先飞的典故

东汉时，乐羊子的妻子是一位贤德的女子。一次，乐羊子拾到了一块金子，高兴地拿回来交给妻子。妻子说：“有志气的人会严格要求自己，把捡来的东西拿回家是败坏自己的名声。乐羊子深感惭愧，就把金子放回原处，然后说：“你很笨要笨鸟先飞，要出外求学去。”所以乐羊子就出外求学去了。但一年后，乐羊子因为思念妻子返回家中。妻子把他领到织机旁说：“这布是一寸寸、一尺尺织出来的，日积月累才能成丈、成匹。如果我把它剪断，就前功尽弃了。求学也和织布一样，不能在学到一半的时候放弃。” 乐羊子深受感动，又回去求学了，七年没有回家。
