投笔从戎的典故

班超是东汉一个很有名气的将军，他从小就很用功，对未来也充满了理想。有一天，他正在抄写文件的时候，写着写着，突然觉得很闷，忍不住站起来，丢下笔说：「大丈夫应该像傅介子、张骞那样，在战场上立下功劳，怎么可以在这种抄抄写写的小事中浪费生命呢！」

傅介子和张骞两个人，生在西汉，曾经出使西域，替西汉立下无数功劳。因此，班超决定学习傅介子、张骞，为国家奉献自己。后来，他当上一名军官，在对匈奴的战争中，得到胜利。接着，他建议和西域各国来往，以便共同对付匈奴。朝廷采取他的建议，就派他带着数十人出使西域。在西域的三十多年中，他靠着智慧和胆量，度过各式各样的危机。

班超一生总共到过五十多个国家，和这些国家保持和平，也同时宣扬了汉朝的国威。
