东汉时期，敦煌太守赵咨推荐曹暠任荥阳县令，赵咨调往东海任职经过荥阳时，曹暠等在路口迎候，想请他在荥阳暂住。赵咨不想惊动别人就没有停留，车子很快就过去。曹暠想送他到城外的十里长亭，可追到长亭，赵咨的车子早就望尘莫及。
