监守自盗的典故

唐朝时期，杨炎因家族以孝出名而被唐德宗选拔为宰相，他上任把个人恩怨看得很重，引起朝中大臣的不满，宰相卢杞寻机报复，把他的私宅购作官署，弹劾他“强迫官吏代卖私第，高估房价，同时还监守自盗。”唐德宗下令处死杨炎。
